All to Play for in 2nd Leg of HM Cup Semis
Sun,17-Apr-16

The HM Cup Semi-Finals Second Leg kicks off today as the teams fight off to put one hand on Oman’s most prestigious sporting trophy by getting the the final.

The first of the two games is between Saham and Nasr. Nasr play at home after securing an away draw against Saham. They will try to exploit the home advantage to the maximum as Nasr fans will be out in numbers to get behind their team.

Both teams have made thorough preperations for the game and it is expected to be a competitive tie. Saham will rely on players  like Mohsin Jowhar and Suleiman AL Bureiki to make the difference in a tough away tie.

Nasr will turn to the ever reliant Kufi Meshak, with Ahmed Al Siabi and Faiz Al Rusheidi also providing the team with solid footing for the big semi-final. Having already won the Mazda Professional Cup, Nasr will be hoping to take the Cup double in what can surely be a great season for the men in blue.

The other match sees Khabourah host Salalah after their goalless draw at the Salalah stadium. Khabourah will look to capitalise on their home advantage while Salalah.

The game, to be played at the Sohar Sports Complex, will see both teams fighting hard to make the most of their season as Salalah, having been mathematically relegated from the Omantel Professional League this season – will want to have a HM Cup to remember, having never won it before.

Khabourah have also endured a disappointing season, barely safe from the relegation zones and have also never won it before – making this match pretty special and important for them. They will look to capitalise on the home advantage and form of striker Said Obaid to seal the tie.

It will be an interesting day of semi-finals for the HM Cup. Today, we know which teams will compete in the finals for Oman’s most prestigious sporting trophy.
