Omantel Renew as Title Sponsors of Omantel Professional League

The Oman Football Association today confirmed that Omantel would be renewing as the Title Sponsor for the Omantel professional League for the following 3 years starting with the 2016/17 Season up until the 2018/19 Season.

Omantel have been title sponsor of the Oman’s Premier football competition in Oman since 2008 and this new deal will see them remain for a further 3 seasons.

The OFA Chairman, Sayyid Khalid Al Busaidi, was very happy that Omantel decided to continue their support as he said:

 “Omantel are the OFA”s longest standing partner and have been with us the whole way as we have elevated League and Club football to the levels they are at now.  We are excited for what the new season will have in store, and we are very confident that with Omantel’s support, our game and leagues will continue to grow.  I woud like to personally thank everyone at Omantel for their continuing support.”

Commenting on the renewal of the Professional League sponsorship, Sheikh Talal bin Said Al-Mamari, CEO of Omantel noted, “For everyone in Oman, football is a real passion, a local and global sport which is followed by the young and old alike.  Omantel works closely with our community to make a meaningful difference to the future development of the nation, so we are very pleased to announce the renewal of sponsorship contract for Professional League in Oman for the coming three years. It gives us great pleasure to nurture and support the development of football in Oman and we hope all the fans will enjoy a strong performance by the participating clubs. I would also like to thank Oman Football Association for their successful management throughout the previous years and I wish them all the best.”

The new league season starts on Saturday 17 September, with current champions Fanja taking on newly promoted club Jalan on Saturday, 17th September at the Sur Sports complex for a 18:30 Kickoff.
